About Me:
I am a history professor from Tampa and I travel a great deal. I usually visit schools and orphanages in different places to bring supplies for teachers and their students.

At home, I have served on the board of directors for the United Nations Association, I have studied Humanitarian Assistance at the University of South Florida, and I have given presentations on women’s issue at my college and in my community.

I am always looking for new ways to get involved and I feel that supporting women is really supporting so many other things as well. As an educator, I believe that when you teach a girl, you teach a family. I feel that the better educated a young woman is, the fewer children she will have, and the better those children will be cared for. Women who are educated are also better prepared to serve as advocates for themselves, their family, and their communities.

I teach online so I am thrilled to see a group with a strong media focus. I am hoping to learn new ways to educate my own students in engaging formats that will hopefully encourage them to become active citizens too.

My Passions:
women empowerment

My Vision for the Future:
primary education for girls

My Areas of Expertise:
education/writing
