Introducing myself and my journal: The Afrika way

Story
About Me:
I am a 25 year old Kenyan woman, passionate about my continent, and always ready to pen down or should I say punch the keyboard, to inform my community on what is going on in their continent. My commitment is fueled by the fact that for a long time, the leadership culture has been that of a bottom down approach, especially for the women in Africa. The ruling class, make decisions without consulting the views of the citizens, rarely do they conduct a baseline research, yet it is the citizens who suffer the consequences of these decisions. I thus feel that it is a duty to inform my readers of issues that have affected Africa before, as well as those that continue to affect Africa now.
I am also in the final stages of publishing my first book, meant for the women and the girl child, from poor communities in Africa. The book emphasizes on the importance of dreaming big, and also seeks to encourage young girls and women to fight for their dreams despite the mistakes they may have made, or the obstacles they meet. Being a woman is a challenge, being an African woman in a traditional society, is an even bigger challenge.
I look forward to meet other writers and exchange ideas, engage in debates, and more importantly learn
