Introducing myself and my journal: The Journey Ahead

About Me:
I'm American, I'm 17, and I think I'm ready to see the world. The good, the bad, the beautiful, the painful. I consider myself an expert on what it means to be a teenage girl in the northwestern corner of America. Now it's time for me to branch out and meet other to people - to see what it's like to be a teenage girl somewhere else. I'll be going to Spain in March with my school, and then I'll be off to university in September. I hope that I will be able to travel a lot and connect with many new people in college.

My Passions:
Languages (especially Spanish), journalism, writing, music, and human rights

My Challenges:
Focusing my efforts, finding creative ways to help people
