About Me:
I am a woman and minister living in Portland, Oregon, though I do not have a church. My background and graduate degree is in theater arts and I have tried to tie this in with creating sacred rituals and ceremonies celebrating all aspects of Life. I was very blessed to be introduced to global women's issues and women's empowerment through a book called The Soul Of Money by Lynne Twist. I had at one time wanted very much to support women in the arts, and through a series of events, I was led to this book, then to a young woman who had been to India on an internship to study women and NGOs in Puna. I met more women who introduced me to Kiva.org, and I began to see that I could make a difference in women in the arts through supporting micro loans, buying and sharing information on Fair Trade artisan items, and through supporting self-reliance and empowerment through putting my money where my heart is. While by American standards I am considered resource poor, by global standards I am extremely rich, and so with an open heart and an open purse, I began giving Consciencious Giving Parties where each person was encouraged to donate what they could afford (usually $5-$10) to the chosen organization. This year's first annual party is to raise money for Heifer International both in livestock and through their WiLD (Women in Livestock Development program). What I realized is that most of us want to make a difference, we want to reach out and connect with a larger global community of women, but don't know how or don't feel what little we can give is enough, so I encourage all of us to realize that while individually we can create a beautiful stream of abundance for others, collectively we can make a an entire ocean. When we pool our resources, giving with open hearts we contribute so much more than each of us individually. And this in turn strengthens our connection with our local and global community. We reach out and meet those we never would have had the opportunity to meet and come together to create greater good in our own and collective Life. Life is like a theater and each of us has a role to play that is uniquely created for us. The drama, the beauty, the greater expansion of Life comes when we join in community and work together, collectively, collaboratively to create something greater than any of us could ever imagine. As World Pulse has expressed, we pulse with the river of Life through each of us, and we are connected by a deeper force, a primordial force that ties us together.
I bless all who cross my path and those whom I may never meet but I know touch my life through their beauty, dedication, will and strength to carry the light of womanhood forward to greater expression and greater voice. I have so much to learn, thank you all for sharing your stories and your Truth with us all. Feel free to visit my website, engage in the blogs, I thank you all!

My Passions:
Theater, music, connecting with other women around the world
My Challenges:
Working to be true to myself, to find my own voice, and to bless my prosperity while at the same time growing it so I can do greater good in the world
My Vision for the Future:
A world where women are truly equal. Even in America, where we do have a greater sense of freedom, we are still oppressed by our own sense of limitation and often low self esteem. I hope for a future where women believe in themselves.
My Areas of Expertise:
Theater, music, giving benefit concerts and fundraisers
