Introducing myself and my journal: Women as the Solution

About Me:
I've worked recently on the issue of women and climate change and have been surprised by the impact and equity issue women are facing with this crisis. The flip side of that coin is that I see women being innovative, creative and active in finding solutions to the challenges their communities face. Women hold unique and valuable places in our communities and it is time for their voices to be a focal point of viable solutions. How might the world be different if a woman could step forward with confidence, without fear of reprisal or shame, and offer her unique vision for her community's future? Women are 70% of the world's poor, do 90% of all household work worldwide and provide community service, often times without pay. We take on tasks others don't want and then coalesce our friends to help us in the process. It's time we had a bigger place at the global table!
