Introducing myself and my journal: Women's Sensations Through Lens

About Me:
I am Bonnie, currently pursuing my Master in International Relations at the London School of Economics. In March 2013, I co-founded Lensational, a non-profit organization aiming at empowering women through photography. The issue of gender inequality has always mattered to me. Having attended all-girls school for my primary and secondary education, I took it for granted that girls deserve the same opportunities and leadership positions as boys. But upon graduation from my secondary school, I realise that this is not the case. Gender inequality is such a pervasive issue that limits the potentials of women and girls worldwide.

In the past 9 months, Lensational has conducted photo-education workshops in Hong Kong, Myanmar, Pakistan, USA and UK, engaging more than 150 underprivileged women and 1,300 supporters. I hope that one day, we can share the stories of women, told by themselves, in all parts of the world.
