IVAWA letter

Story
My community is affected when violence against women continues to be a pivital part of the struggle for power and resources. You and I are the heart of all communities. It is the humanity within us that is being affected by volence against women and girls. I have heard stories, I have seen scars and my heart bleeds. I am affected. And this is how my community is affected and the pulse of humanity is affected.
Protecting women and girls can lead to positive change in the world, in communities, in government, and in my home.
I Urge President Obama and Secretary Clinton to help pass this vital act.
Sincerely,
Melyssa Muñoz
