KATCHITO WOMEN TRUST MICROLOANS

Katchito Women Trust Microloans made up of women groups and individual members who after series of financial challenges, decided to let KCODEC help them out to raise capital improved upon their petty businesses. Series of meetings were held and gave birth to KATCHITO WOMEN TRUST Microloan project. A project where women agreed to contribute money on daily or weekly basis to the trust for three months before qualifying for a loan from KCODEC.

Contributors agreed operate the trust project on the principles of an indigenous Susu system of collection money on continuous basis, where a person is employed to go run every day to collect their contributions. The amount of loan you can collect from KCODEC after the three months period would depend on your active contribution and your amount balance.

This system have been operation since 2010 to now and so far abount 250 contributors have had access to small and medium loan to improve upon their business and children education. We are hoping to create an indigenous non-bank centre they would provide us with some financial service on permanent and sustainable basis. So we need you support in:

• Contributing money
• Telling somebody about katchito Women Trust Microloan Project
• Adverting us
• Providing with offices equipments

Currently we are under the operation and management of KATCHITO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTRE a local NGO that be operation with us for the past 11 years, giving us trainings and other logistics

Your kind support can help reduce our poverty levels and extend help hands to more need once.
