Story
The adage “You are the leaders of tomorrow » is REDUNDANT...
Let Girls Lead Now!
1 In 3 girls are afraid to be leaders for fear of others thinking she is Bossy... this is compounded by gender discrimination and stereotypical roles attributed to boys and girl.
The fact that girls are often less valued for leadership roles necessitates workshops and educative talks to impart in them a leadership mindset, knowledge and skills.
In the build up to the National Youth Day, Welisane Foundation organized a Leadership and Mentorship Symposium for Girls themed “Let Girls Lead Now.
It took place at the Youth Village, during the Youth Week on the 7th of February 2020 at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Yaounde.
Speaking at the symposium was Venetta MWENGELLA , Family Nurse Practioner, motivational speaker, Mentor and Coach, Michael Ananga, Corporate Lawyer, Development Coach and Mentor, as Well as the Founder of Welisane Foundation - Welisane Mokwe Nkeng, Sustainability Leader and Mentor.
