Letter to my Fellow VOF Correspondents

MUJERES!! (Women!)

First of all, I hope that you are each doing well! Congratulations on getting through Module 2!

I have to tell you that while this Module could have been perhaps the easiest for me to get through, every "glitch' possible, has touched my life over the last month. My computer was infected and I was unable to access my original essay, forcing me to re-write. It goes without saying that this was not my best work.

Finding the time to write again after having invested so much time, was hard. My 19 month old son has been sick (just a "normal" winter cold with a little edge), while my work schedule has kept me going later than usual. We have very few people with whom we can leave our son, so he either with Mama and Dada, or Grandma, and this time around, we had to manage on our own.

All I can say, is I survived. Perhaps when this is all over, I will come back to Module 2 and sit with it, edit or re-write and make it the piece I want it to be. For now, I have had to let go of my inner perfectionist and just be still.

Beyond venting, let me just say that each you is a QUEEN! I know that we all have our struggles and challenges, so kudos to you! Stay strong, mujeres!

In the words of Dora La Exploradora (one of the only cartoons my son is allowed to watch on occasion), "we did it, we did it! Lo hicimos, lo hicimos!" :-)

[Sigh.]

Looking forward to reading all of your work. I truly enjoy your writing and getting a glimpse into your corners of the world.

Peace & Light!
Mari
