Little steps, little steps!

On Tuesday 25th June, we had our second live virtual event of the month: Training Tuesday! This month’s topic was all about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and we had a masterclass on AI 101. We started off with an introduction to AI and what it is, followed by some examples of AI. We then went into safety and security with AI where we provided us a few tips on how to be mindful when engaging with it. Then came the most interesting and exciting part of the event - the community cafe segment led by World Pulse’s own Lourdes Rivas! Our tech expert and fearless leader Lourdes talked to us about how AI can be used by changemakers and storytellers on World Pulse and what could be some of the pitfalls of using the same when writing a story or creating an initiative on World Pulse. She then talked about how we can be ethical in our use of AI and told us about how World Pulse is engaging with AI without being intrusive on data protection.
