In the heart of a home, where whispers dwell,

A mother stands tall, wears her struggle like a shell.

“Endure for the children,” she bravely insists,

But in quiet moments, does she ponder the risks?

Is love a fortress, or a prison we choose?

What heroes emerge when the heart starts to bruise?

Children watch closely, with eyes wide in fear,

In shadows of silence, their innocence clears.

“Why do we stay when the nights turn so cold?

Is a house filled with pain worth the stories we're told?”

In the name of affection, do we shackle their dreams?

What damage is done when love's not what it seems?

Yet society whispers with judgmental scoffs,

“Be patient, dear woman, don’t dare to take off.”

“Commitment is virtue; endure all the strife,”

But at what cost to the spirit, the heart, and the life of the children?

“Why sacrifice joy for the sake of a name?

Is the price of our silence worth the burden of shame?”

But what if the path leads to freedom’s embrace?

To raise them alone in a kinder, safe place?

“Mom, do you love us more than the fight?”

“Would you rather be shattered than let us take flight?”

In the quest to be heroes, we risk all we hold dear,

For the greatest of legacies is love without fear.

So, dear mother, consider the cost of your choice,

For the echoes of pain can silence a voice.
