Menstrual Hygiene Management

Culture makes dialogue and education about menstruation a taboo to talk about. UNICEF found that one in six teenage girls chose not to go to school during menstruation. The three main causes are related to the lack of access to menstrual hygiene information, the limited knowledge of teachers regarding this issue, and the lack of proper sanitation facilities in schools. Schools must have toilets and clean water and implement gender-segregated toilets. This is a challenge in fighting for equality for girls so that they can get good privacy, be safe, and can maintain their dignity.
