Mining disaster

In DRCongo, the situation of girls is really down; let me tell you a true story of girls in mining areas.

DRCongo is land blessed with different mines, due to that, we find war everywhere, different armed group wanting to conquer the place and manage the resources. Let me use the examples of a place called Mwenga , here we find three different sites where women are hired to do hairy of stones and to bring water to men working inside the sites as well as satisfying their sexual desires. With statics in primary school many women will be enrolled but as they are growing many will drop school. At the time when that generation will rich high schools, it’s difficult to have 3 girls in a class of 50students. Guess what, those girls left school for this reasons:
- Some are forced to get marriage because their parents took a loan which they are not able to pay
- Other become prostitute because that only way, they can money and help their poor families
- Other got pregnant after being raped
- A most are working in the site as hairy,
- Some are by their sexual industry by their husbands, this means that the husband will conduct contract and send the wife over there to have Sexe and bring food at home.
All girls who left school for one reason or another are used in form of slavery; most are used in Sexe industry.
Beyond that woman in the town places, employ young girls to help for work their houses! How do we want to have lettered girls in this environment? Our cultures are also there, they say that a woman should not go to school because her work is to makes babies and care for the husband wealth at home.
The other aspect of the problem is that, even those few who went to school once married their husbands’ refuses that they can’t work. This affects all women, during pregnancy they don’t want to have girls, all of them aspire to have baby boy because at least them are treasure by the nature. There is even an expression used “boy’s pregnancy riches 9months before birth but girls can be born a 7months. This showing that the woman who gives birth to boy suffers more than those who gives girls. Boys marry who they like, go to school and many more.
Writing these stories makes me cry, I can't go any further
