MNC employee to Startup Entrepreneur

I am Namrata Agarwal, the founder of Vishisht Lifestyle, a handmade products` brand based in Bangalore. On a mission to save the planet, I focus on improving the skincare space by offering all-natural, cruelty-free products delivered in zero-waste packaging. Like any other startup entrepreneur, I wear many hats to run my small business. I handle production, packaging, social media marketing, and even photoshoots! 

I featured on The Better India website. My brand Vishisht was awarded a grant under the Facebook Small Business Grants Programme. It was also listed among the Top 500 startups in South Asia by Innopreneurs Startup contest 2021. Before starting my business, I worked in a Multinational Accounting firm as an Auditor for 4.5 years & I am a Certified Public Accountant.

I am passionate about promoting a sustainable lifestyle. What makes my brand unique is that it avoids excess consumerism by offering a limited range of multi-purpose products using minimum materials to ensure people only buy what they need. All my products are prepared in fresh batches and contain pure, natural ingredients for the best results. My brand is carbon-neutral and contributes to tree plantation equivalent to the CO2 emissions generated by the company.   

Vishisht started as a result of my skin problems. I developed some rashes and itchiness one summer & none of the moisturizers helped. Hence I started researching online and learned about the harmful chemicals found in mass-produced skincare products. Soon, I was formulating recipes using natural ingredients and gave family and friends to try. A year later, based on feedback, research, and trials & errors, I launched my brand in May 2018.

I love trying new food and travelling. I enjoy spending time with family, watching sitcoms, listening to podcasts, and reading books & articles on self-development, mental health, etc. I am an animal lover and stand strong against animal cruelty.
