MY CITY, MY PRIDE -2

Some weeks back the maximum temperature of Agartala was 38.9 Degrees Celsius. For some urgent shopping had to go to Jibanmal Parashmal at Surjya Chowmuni. So was confident , that l will only experience heat on the deserted roads, people less market or timeless moments of still & scorching heat.

But surjya chowmuni was overflowing with hundreds of people. Young & old, stylish ladies or rural masses in full mood of summer shopping . From window shopping to aggressive bargaining with roadside hawkers, each & everyone was enjoying their holiday mood. Unruffled by pressing heat as being  equipped with scarfs or gamchas, these people were celebrating the season of Summer . Had to confess that either I have become more old or people have special talent to cope with heat. And finally realised that roadside cold kulfi, nimbu pani rapped in red cloth & fresh fragrance of 'Rajanigandha' was rewarding to me too !
