My disability is not a barrier

Born in a family of five and the first child. I acquired disability at the age of 8years. Suffering from born Oestro, After 14th operations scraping my borns to make me work again using my legs. After the long suffering and  pains. I started doing craft work as from form 3 in the secondary school, Life was so hard. Our parents live apart. Being the first I needed money to buy my basic needsand the family. After I completed secondary school, I continued to do craft work like marking traditional dresses and hair dressing. I was also empowered in the women Empowerment center. I can now produced beats, table mats, flower jars, sandals etc out of papers. It is called paper recycling. From experience, handwork is very important in life.My goal is to open a work shop where women and the girl child, even boys will be empowered to faced the challenges in life. Especially for women with disabilities, to stop begging on the street. By this recycling we will produced beats, table mats, flowerjars etc sell and put food on the table for the family, send our children to school etc. By this we reduced unemployment, pollution through burning and thereby keeping the environment clean. Let's join our voices to say NO to any form of gender based violence because of poverty. World pulse thanks so much for being there for us
