my husband works for a NGO does yours?

My husband works for a NGO in Rwanda and it is a 501c3 in the states -- ya know, non-profit work. :) His works requires him to travel much when he is in the country and also requires that he travels to RW for weeks at a time. This summer he was away for 7 weeks and he is leaving in a couple of weeks for almost 6 weeks. I was able to go this past summer for 10 days, but we were not able to bring our kids.

I am just wondering if there are other momma's out there that have young kids (or older) in the same or similar situation. I realize that there are jobs that spouses may have that require travel other than in the world of nonprofit work, but I'm really interested in the small population that I'm a part.

I would like to connect w/ mom's that stay at home with their kids and their husband/partner works in the nonprofit sector and travels. How do you manage for weeks at at time? Does the organization help to pay for you to travel to the location where your spouse works?

Are there any of you out there.....
