My Journey

I am from Nairobi, Kenya. My family is quite close and big on girl child education, I humble myself to have a community that is warm and keen on the importance of family and supporting each other. The biggest challenge I am facing right now is, young people, I included are in need of a work environment that allows them to have autonomy as well as explore their talents, When it comes to women, the biggest challenge we face is we lack equal representation when it comes to leadership and also the fact that a large number of women in my community are not tech savvy and this limits them greatly when it comes to the job market. If women can become tech savvy, the world opens a whole realm of opportunities for them which would lead to them getting exposure to the rest of the world and get to tap into the larger women empowerment communities. With the support of the organization I work for, I have held events that bring women in IT together as well as young women who are aspiring to be part of the IT world.
