My Life at Worldpulse

Dear All

My name is Leonida Odongo from Kenya
To me World Pulse means the room where sisters from all over the globe come to share experiences , exchange views, link up with one another and form worldwide solidarity. It is also the cooking pot where I can get information on all issues affecting women be it land rights, gender based violence, sexual and reproductive health, economic empowerment etc.

I got to know about World Pulse after attending the World YWCA meeting held in Nairobi , I visited a stand and was given a flier with the caption WorldPulse and a clarion call to join a community of women .What attracted me most was the statement "Nobody Speaks for me, I speak for myself" I decided this is the right place to be and wanted to add my voice to those of sisters all over the world.

My experience at World Pulse has been very vibrant, educative and information the sharing of information, the meeting of new friends, the learning from projects all over the world, it makes me feel stronger to know there are many sisters out there working towards empowerment of fellow women, it makes me proud to reinforce the Power and strength of a WOMAN.Being at WorldPulse has also enhanced the visibility of our organization, ( Ebony Youth and Orphans Support Initiative)we have had organizations asking to become our friends, organizations willing to network with us and all this is attributed to being a member of WorldPulse.

Long live WorldPulse !.

Thank You
