My nomination: Ambassador

My second nomination for the Ambassador category is the unparallelled Sister Zeph.

She was a mere pre-teen when she walked out of school to set up her own institution that continues, to this very day, to provide free education for young women in Pakistan. She will walk the end of the earth for her girls, rescuing them from burn injuries, from abandonment, from violence at home, and from a host of different threats. She is fearless, fierce, strong, and undaunted: the truest example of “Nothing can stop her.”

Zeph embodies the very quintessence of a World Pulse woman. Today, her girls have a shot at phenomenal futures because her heart opened up new worlds of possibility for them. She brings India into the heart of Pakistan by welcoming me to teach her students through Skype – what a powerful act of peacebuilding, isn’t it? She gives unconditionally and is truly the human form of the universe itself.

I have never seen Zeph say that something is impossible or that something cannot be done. She is not the person to look at something and consider it difficult and walk away. She will find a solution one way or another, no matter how long it may take, no matter how much it may demand of her, and no matter how much effort it would involve. Sister Zeph is a powerhouse, a true force of nature, and one of the truest reasons why hope continues to exist in this world today.

Zeph truly does lift up those around her. She speaks out for everything she believes in, listens with heart and empathy, and without any judgment. She seeks personal, community, and socio-political transformation, she is a powerful connector, uses technology immensely, and is incredibly passionate about making a difference. I truly hope that Zeph makes it and wins this award – there’s truly no one like her.
