“Narratives on the other side of the Narective”

\"Fear
Fear of the Unkwon

Who would have predicted the dictates of the new Decade – a time of fears and tears. A time where one would freeze at the idea of the outside, all sunny and rustling with humming from mother nature breathing. The corona virus, the so called covid 19 which has claimed the lives of plenty in the course of its journey doesn’t know what it means to be roaming without a penny. Some call it the great equalizer because it has no regard for the wiser or the richer nor the learner. However, Far from that is the reality which seems to point towards vulnerability on the path of those whom it should pity, indeed, quite chilly.

How painful it is that mindful of the effort put in the build-up, we will have sit-up still and watch the lives and strifes that we nurtured just rupture inadvertently. Similarly or perhaps dissimilarly, run the stories of a number of innocent souls, for who can’t engage in slumber and do nothing but ponder on how to feed their hungry stomachs. For such as these, worry about disease is evidence of luxury – very foreign to their itinerary, lest they decided that being dead from want of bread was better than disregarding  global warning intending to prevent dying that could still come with starving. They say education is the key to success but whatever prowess that poor soul might have harnessed, covid is quite vivid when painting how taunting it will always be for them to progress. While some can swiftly sway into remote learning, others will have to stay put yearning. For how can one think of a phone to study online when their homes wait patiently on a line of responsibilities to be fed and dressed.

We cry due to the ongoing  political crisis and wry owing to hunger on our faces. If at all, the world learned anything from this crisis, it would be how eerie it feels to be vulnerable. From engaging in Laughter to chasing toilet paper and from spending a holiday to being stuck in a foreign place, we are all familiar with the language of disaster. However, a step from being familiar to being peculiar on the well being of others will deliver smiles that will never waver. Donate today and be the reason why those smiles will stay forever.
