New and improved group for women artisans to come together

Hello to everyone in the Fair Trade Group!

You'll notice that we have changed the name of this group to Behind the Label: Artisan Café. This group will now be a collaborative space for women artisans to come together and share their stories, ideas, challenges, and hopes as they work to sell their products to an external market. Please see the new group description below; then, introduce yourself to the group by posting a bit about yourself and your projects.

This group has the potential to be a powerful and exciting way for women around the world to share tips and ideas. I encourage everyone to invite your artisan friends to join as well.

We are also looking for a moderator for this group who is a woman artisan herself, or who works with women artisans in the Global South. If you are interested, please leave a comment on this post.

Group Profile

Behind the Label: Artisan Café

Around the world, women's empowerment and fair trade have become intrinsically linked. Women are generating incomes by selling handmade products to external markets, and organizations are springing up across the world to support these endeavors.

This group is designed for women artisans and aspiring artisans to come together to collaborate, to share ideas, and to inspire each other. Use this space to connect with others in the movement and to learn from each other. This is your space to develop ideas, to form friendships, to vent to each other, and to learn from each other.

Start by introducing yourself. Share your story. Talk about your products. Ask questions.

We're here to help.
