Nothing Changed, but Peace of my Heart

Nothing Changed, but  Peace of my Heart

The air is the same, so is the morning mist.

The sunshine is the same, so its heat.

The days are the same, so are the dark black nights.

Every individual I meet the same, engrossed in its own world.

The birds are same, so are their morning songs and evening hymns.

Everything is intact, but my heart.

It is not same anymore, not happy but remorseful.

As if I am dead, so is my whole being handed over to my oppressors.

As if instead of a muscular organ, this thoracic cage has a frozen space.

This pain is endless, infinite and unrelenting.

Giving me sleeplessness nights and twitchy days.

But the air is the same, so is the flaring heat.

Nothing has changed except, my peace of mind & harmony of my heart.
