I hear the echoes, cries and voices of women and girls on the streets,  within communities and neighborhoods,  seeking for justice, equal opportunities , equal pay wages and gender equality, unpaid domestic labor yet unvalued, minimize and termed to be stay at home consumers and unproductive, yet they wash, clean  take care of children,  cook and serve their husband like a god. Yet they are term unproductive. To me they are worth a gold mine and trillions for this service rendered.

Women have  been held bound by cultures that relegates then to the background, keep them fix and bound to became baby making machine and objects of pleasure, gives them no power or space to strive and attend their full potentials.

It's sad to know that women within our communities do not know their worth, nor their rights after 30+ year since the Beijing conference.

As a community worker, humanitarian and founder for HAND IN HAND Cameroon, I have meet women who recounted stories of being bitten and locked up for days in the toilets of their homes by their husbands,  without food nor water, left at the mercy of neighbors, and any one who tries to intervein get Into trouble with the monster of a husband.

I have seen girls raped several times by their benefactors. I can still recall the story of a young girls who has been violated Sexually  since she was 10years old. She was brought to stay with her aunt, but the husband of the aunt has been the crucket monster that has been devouring this little girl since she was 10yrs old. Today this girl is 16years and had suffered and endured this pain and torture for 6good years, forced to take abortion pills when she fills signs of pregnancy, yet her aunt didn't notices not for a day, what her husband was doing to this little princess, until this little girl finally spoke to a street vendor and was directed to my organization for legal, medical and psychosocial support. The most painful part of it is the fact that this monster was arrested, locked up for just 6months and was later released, with the cooperation of corrupt officials.  what is six months compared to the damage he has caused this poor girl.

to me, perpetrators of violence should have a lifetime jail sentence.

our voice's are power, let's not stay silent,

your silence will only help fuel abuse and violence on women and girls. your quietness will only give the violator an upper hand to keep rulling and suppressing you the victim.

speakup and speak loud.

I am committed to amplifying the voices , actions and leadership of women , helping them attend their highest potentials.

women have the power to boost our economy, protect our environments, build strong governing structures, lead companies and initiatives etc.

that's why during this 16days I am even more energies than ever, to carry out community sensitization programs on:

-  identifying common signs of abuse,

- developing community GBV reporting techniques throug community suggestion box's and community confidential access tools for GBV reporting.

- illustrating signs that indicated danger or violence around without necessary saying a word but just making signs to any community working in other to get help.

To increase my scope, I have founded a Pan-African network for Gender Justice,  a network that brings together women accross Africa, African women living in the global North and other organisations and women interested in working with African women, on a common group to share knowledge,  develop strategies to tackling societal problems, and supporting each other through mentorship, capacity building and more.

my mission is to ensure that policy makers get to hear the voices and cries of women globally, support women initiatives and ideas. unit to amplify the actions and voices of women  and share opportunities to strive together.

let's unite to end violence within our communities.
