Pakistan: Not a pedestrian Friendly country

It is a great pleasure to welcome a large number of students, particularly young girls and middle-aged women from all around the world in the capital city of Pakistan but at the same time embarrassing to listen by them that they are afraid to go out to buy some grocery, to dine or for any other purpose because Pakistani men grope their breasts, touch in a bad manner and undresses with stars. According to them, they do so just because of language barriers and treat them as they are immune from punishment. Staring or harassing women is just a hobby, fun or entertainment for them, but they are totally ignorant of the fact that how disgusting image of the whole society of men are they leaving behind. Indeed, Pakistan is not a pedestrian friendly country.

Well, there is nothing wrong to look at each other or pass a smile, but objectifying is a pathetic job. Woman is not a commodity that a 63 years old man enjoys woman thoroughly from head to feet and amuse to intimate with his eyes. He loves to fulfill his deepest desire to rub shoulder with the woman's shoulder passing from the street. Personally, Male gaze makes me feel more uneasy and uncomfortable that you are designed to amuse or engross them and that is all. And being a woman, it’s my deepest desire to go out alone, on a beach or in a park, in a shopping mall without the feeling of judging by my size, outlook, height or display. I am not anyone’s property to gaze on. No matter how beautiful or ugly, slim or fat, tall or short heighted I am but this is me and I have a right to live on as a human being without your stars.
