Residential School Survivor,

We are at the doorway of Reconciliation with Canada, after decades of oppression and abuses from the Roman Catholic Church and Government of Canada, under foreign policy and legislation of Canada. I am a survivor of Kuper Island Residential School. When I was removed from my home and cultural environment, and brought to Kuper Island, I was treated with abuses that I did not know before; I was in isolation, the education experience was violent, and my culture was systemically beaten out of me. The language and social skills were upside down compared to my cultural environment. After going to college and university, with about 10 years of counselling, not much has changed in Canada for Native Girls/Women. Today, there is an Inquiry for Missing and Murdered Native Women of Canada. Today, the treatment is still one of oppression, because of policy and legislation under the Indian Act. The legislation of native peoples is one of poverty. We all experience poverty and know poverty. We survive under poverty. I campaign for native women, because I understand the systemic issues we are experiencing today! We seek your support, and universal sisterhood. https://www.gofundme.com/indigenouswomen1st Your support, care, and donation is needed today, and appreciated! Indigenous Women have the Human Right to a voice on Policies and Legislation under the Indian Act of Canada because, its time for Reconciliation. love & light
