Running for My Life Day #56

It is 56 days since I begun preparing for my first marathon where I hope to raise funds for Lifesong Kenya and our work. It hasn't been an easy walk in the park. I thought I had missed many training sessions until I discovered that the 300 minutes I walk every week on my way and back from teaching my children should be factored in training regime.

Running to shed off extra weight is different from preparing for a marathon. There is no giving up, np matter what happens. Today's run was different. I was running in my new gear, whichhas proved to be a game-changer.With every kilometre run, I was seeing the faces of each and every boy and girl I have met through Lifesong Kenya.

I am no longer running for my life only. I am running for my wife, for the children we work with and for the many friends who believe in what we are doing. And especially Manda Goldengirl Njoroge, for encouraging me to keep running and preparing for the Shompole Wildlife Marathon on March 20th. The impossible is becoming possible! My eyes is set on attempting 21K before this week ends.

Milestone achieved today: Breathing and endurance improving.‪#‎nothingisimpossible‬ ‪#‎themakingofjimbuttons‬ ‪#‎shompolewildlifemarathon‬‪#‎lifesongfkenya‬
