Sample Interview Questions

Correspondents,
As you prepare to interview one another, here are a few pieces of information you might want to gather. Remember, these are just sample questions. You do not have to ask any or all of them.
Before you begin your interview, ask yourself: What do I need to know in order to write a descriptive, accurate, interesting bio of my colleague?

  1. Basic Bio Data -- age, nationality, location of residence, family, children, languages she speaks.

  2. Discover what makes her unique -- what has been your greatest success in life? what do you most value in life? who do you most admire? what is the one issue you are most passionate about? how do you hope the world remembers you?

  3. How is journalism changing her life -- what obstacles have you overcome to become a journalist? has being a journalist changed your point of view or your sense of self?

  4. One word -- if you could sum yourself up in what word, what would it be?

I hope this helps!
Happy Interviewing!!
