Some few days ago, we celebrated the international day of the Girl child. But at this point, I would ask, what future is there for the Girl child is she stands even the slightest chance of sharing the same fate as Favour?

For us at sheroes.ng, celebrating the day of the Girl child goes deeper than gatherings and lectures. It is about analysing the life of the Girl child both now and in the future. And unfortunately, even the NOW is not assured. It is threatened and at risk of being cut short by rapists, just like Favour's life was.

And that is why we are determined to ensure the involvement and participation of all stakeholders towards ensuring not just desired punishment for rapist and sexual offenders, but also support for victims.
