When I was twelve years old,my journey with menstruation began with a lot of challenges, lasting almost a month and causing me immense discomfort and shame. The lack of knowledge and understanding around menstrual health only added to my struggles, as I had to take a lot of medication and vitamins, change my diet, go for regular check ups and constantly worry about staining in public.

The unbearable pain of cramps and the fear of not knowing what was normal only heightened my anxiety as a young girl navigating this new phase of life.concentrating in class was really a challenge with everything that was going on.

But I'm grateful as the years passed, my body eventually regulated itself, and I learned to cope with the ups and downs of my monthly cycle.

My experience has taught me the importance of education and awareness around menstrual health. Young girls need to be informed about what is normal and what is not, about menstrual diseases like endometriosis, and the importance of proper hygiene and access to sanitary products.

No young girl should have to go to extreme measures just to acquire a pad or suffer in silence due to lack of knowledge. It is time for a change, for a revolution in how we approach menstrual health and empower young girls to embrace their bodies with confidence and pride. I hope to be a part of that change, to make a difference, and to ensure that no girl ever has to feel alone or ashamed of her menstrual cycle again.
