Story of my life

Dear Team Members

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Sithandekile Sibanda, and I am writing to you today to introduce myself and share my aspirations for further education and professional growth.

I am a mother of three wonderful children, and I have dedicated my life to providing them with love, care, and support. Alongside my role as a mother, I have also pursued my passion for perfume making and selling. It has been a fulfilling journey, allowing me to explore my creativity and connect with people through the art of fragrance. I love finer things in life and intend to fully persue this passion and give my clients a once of a life time opportunity to be treated royally. I have dreams of having my on line of perfume which will consists of perfume, rollon, bubble bath, bathing jelly, bathing saop specifically for African skin. I intend to inspire young people from rural home and fly the Zimbabwe flag high despite my background.

In addition to my entrepreneurial endeavors, I am working as a lecturer at Bulawayo Polytechnic College teaching entrepreneurship for more than 5 years now. Teaching has always been a source of joy for me, as it allows me to share my knowledge and inspire young minds to reach their full potential. I take great pride in my role as an educator and strive to create a positive and engaging learning environment for my students. I hold an honours degree in entrepreneurship.

However, despite the joys and successes in my personal and professional life, I have faced immense challenges and losses along the way. I have experienced the heart-wrenching pain of losing all my family members, including my mother, father, and siblings. These losses plunged me into a deep state of depression, threatening to consume me entirely.

Yet, through sheer determination and resilience, I managed to pull through the darkest moments of my life. I sought help, surrounded myself with a strong support system, and embarked on a journey of self-discovery and healing. It was during this time that I realized the transformative power of education and its ability to empower individuals to overcome adversity.

With a renewed sense of purpose and a burning desire to make a difference in the lives of others, I am now seeking a scholarship to further my education and pursue a doctorate degree. I believe that acquiring advanced knowledge in my field will not only broaden my horizons but also equip me with the skills and expertise to create meaningful change in my community and beyond.

I am eager to delve deeper into my chosen field of study i. e entrepreneurship,innovation and digital marketing, conducting research, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge. I am committed to embracing lifelong learning and embodying the values of perseverance, compassion, and dedication in all that I do.

I take refugee in communinites such as this one where I get ro share stories and inspirations that give life more meaning. It inspires me to pursue my goals with renewed vigour when ever I start loosing hope. If other women who have been through a lot can pull themselves out of their agony and make something for themselves, I can also do it.

I started my career as a Secretary at a local University. Thats when I realised that my passion lay in teaching not Office work. I embarked on a journey and took a course in entrepreneurship after realising that I love making new things. Generating value out of something-hence the start of my perfume business. It was not an easy to move from non academic to academic. Some of my friends were discouraging me but I had already made up my mind and I never regretted my decision.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and my journey. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and the opportunity to continue my educational pursuits. I would be grateful for any support or guidance you can provide in my quest for a scholarship and further education.
