At the conclusion of its meeting in the British capital, London, today, Friday, June 21, 2024, the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Journalists decided to establish a mission in cooperation with the African Federation of Journalists and the General Federation of Sudanese Journalists to find out the conditions of Sudanese journalists inside and those forced by the war to travel abroad with the aim of assessing the conditions of journalists inside and providing them with support and defense. About the safety and freedom of Sudanese journalists at home and abroad.


The Executive Committee of the International Federation of Journalists called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Sudan and urged all parties to work for peace and stability, considering that a stable environment is essential for the safety and freedom of journalists and for the media to work without fear of reprisal.

The Executive Committee of the International Federation of Journalists decided to establish a fund to provide financial and legal support to Sudanese journalists abroad.
