As we have entered the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I am reminded of the critical role accurate information plays in healthcare decisions. Disinformation surrounding breast cancer whether it be myths about screening procedures or unproven alternative treatments continues to place lives at risk. It is vital to prioritize early detection, especially as breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers globally.
Regular screenings like mammograms have been proven to catch cancer in its early stages, often before symptoms appear. Yet, many women delay screenings due to fear or misinformation. My goal is to help demystify these life-saving procedures and ensure more women have access to accurate health information.
