Thanks to PulseWire

It has been nice to be selected as a member of PulseWire and to get a badge,this act has encouraged me very much to work with zeal I have to work for the cause of women .My name is Felix MCHINGA, I am married to one wife and I have children.I get a call to work for the promotion of women rights and their empowerment of women I have been working with group of women since 1999;
Here are some facts that pushed me for women .
1)The majority of illiterate people here in DR CONGO is composed by women.2) Instead of sending girls to school,they are given only the task of taking care of children of their elder married sisters,or their elder brothers. This is the cause that leaders girls to start their families while they are illiterate when comes time for marriage.
Besides there is a high rate of early marriage so that the dowry they will get would serve as dowry for their brothers when they also want to marry
3) A lot of agricultural work is done by women;
-To plant seeds in the garden,to take care of plants,to do the harvest of coops, to cook food., to pound maize,manioc,etc
I order to defend their rights ,I decided to join them and be a part of the women community initiative called GAMADI nonprofit organization (Agricultural group of women for the development of Itombwe) founded in 1999.
In 2000, 7 women and I went for a training of trainers in adult literacy ,this training was carried by women from Europe.
After the training ,we formed 4 circles in order to teach women how to read and to write ,and how to plant different seeds (onions,cabbage,tomatoes etc.up to now they are able to read the bible .
At the moment ,I am an adviser of GAMADI,nonprofit organization.
