I am a girl! Yes! But is it my fault? . I am created just like the other adorable genders (boys). Why the discrimination? Why the segregation? Why the slavery? Why the early marriage? Don’t I have a future? . why subjecting me to child labor.
Well, I happened to be born into a polygamous family. My father was a high chief. He was married to five wives and my mother happened to be the number three wife. Girls in my household are considered useless as they believe their place is in the kitchen and after that, their husband’s house. They believe female are another man’s property so therefore no need to send them to school. Almost all my female siblings were given out to early marriage,I was lucky not to have been with my father. Maybe I also would have ended up like the others.
But are female children really useless? Is our place really in the kitchen? Are we really another man’s property? The answer is no. Female are unique, we are created specifically for a purpose.
The very fact that the girl child has become a topic of discussion and debate, points to the fact that, this is something different to the other of the human species (boys).
The girls have always and everywhere been considered to be lesser of the two beings of the human species. Why this has come to be, is beyond my comprehension, but, the fact remains that, the girl has not only been considered as the lesser, but has always been really neglected as well. It can not be imagined how this situation came into existence but, the sadder and more shocking situation is, even in this 21st century that we call ourselves highly civilized, cultured and educated societies, the girl child still finds it more and more difficult to subsist on this planet.
what is happening to the girls now is that, though the awakening to their rights has come among women, they are finding it an uphill task to fight it out with the authority of men, who are naturally not liking the coming up of women. On the other hand the man, who always thought that he was the superior being, finds it rather taxing to adjust to the idea of women coming up to their standards.
In this scenario, the girl child has a doublefold war front to fight it out for herself-one being the older women who do not allow the girl to rise, as, they do not seem to understand the need for it, and the other is the male counterpart who have the fear of seeing her become an equal as, this will snatch away from the man his centuries old platform of domination from him. In reality, what the present situation is in India is also true about the whole world but of course it is not as bad as it is in India and this is because of lack of education among the girls. In recent time Girls have proven themselves in many fields and sectors due to their work and dedication. They are more talented, obedient, hardworking, and responsible for family and their life. Girls are more caring and loving towards their family and parents, and they give their best in every work.
Every child is important,be it girl or boy. Let put an end to gender discrimination. Treat every child equally as no child is more special than other.
