THE GIRL CHILD

The Girl Child

The Girl Child
Is just a dependent child
Craving to be a model woman
In this uncertain world of humans

The girl child from feedbacks
Has suffered from setbacks
Through sex discrimination
From male subordination

The girl child though vulnerable has aspirations
In every aspect of human perfection
Imbue with lots of aptitude
Empowered in her as an attitude

The girl child must have empathy
And put away the spirit of apathy
For today’s fight for tomorrow’s freedom
Should be girls watch word in every kingdom

Girls put on your armour of self confidence
And be sure to have evidence
In your desire and quest to seek equity
From the syndrome of inequality

Although marginalized and denied access to opportunities
In your economic and development activities
Your dignity and freedom from wants and fears
Would improve your prospects for several years
