The submissive wife.

An African woman is lost in the middle of African tradition and basic human right. Wives of Cameroon are expected to be submissive and respectful to their husbands. A man and a woman engage in adultery, the woman is punished and the man set free.A man can cheat. They say its normal but for a woman its an abomination. Sisters out there are going through all forms of violence but cannot speak because they will say she is washing her dirty linens outside. Others will advice she should stay for the sake of her children.

I am presently hosting a lady with her three children in my house. This lady is an orphan and with the present crisis in my region she cannot access the only relative she has.Her husband abandoned her with the children in the house for the past three months and she was grown out of the house with the children because she could no longer pay rents. She has been through torture and too frustrated to tell the details of her marriage. The children are of ages, 3,5 and 7 looking very unkept and malnourished.

 Please sisters, I am writing on my knees. Am not financially viable to take care of them .I went to the social center and the people said they care just for disabled persons and they are not orphans because they have a mother. My sister, anyone who can contribute anything no matter how small so we rent a house, put the children in school, and empower this lady to pick up the pieces of her life together again.
