Gave out sanitary pads to one of the schools in the Elgon region earlier last year

Its such a sad but very true story from the rural areas of the Elgon region. One of the things that inspired me to start up this initiative is the life the young girls keep facing every time they are in Menstruation, the stigma, the pain , the missing out of classes which has really resulted to an increased number of school drop outs and hence Teenage pregnancies. Many Girls in the Elgon region use steamed banana leaves to pad them selves during menstruation, they keep sharing there sad stories and how it has greatly affected them, thousands of these face challenges as there parents are not able to support them with sanitary pads because of poverty. As as 'baby" NGO Elgon Ebenezer Young Mothers Organization (EEYMO) we are trying so hard that this and other challenges that the rural Girl faces is solved, one of our core values is to support Girls to stay in school. We have an upcoming outreach on 12th.April. 2023, kindly donate Reusuable sanitary pads, Scholaristic materials, shoes, clothes to these Girls. May God bless you
