"walk for life 2023" Breast cancer awareness and sensitisation walk

October being the month dedicated for raising awareness about breast cancer, is named "pink October". Breast cancer is the 1st cancer among women with a very high prevalence rate. Many women still die out of ignorance and lack of information. Dr Tumasang Swiri Foundation is planning a walk for life which will help educate the population of Yaoundé about the risk factors, breast self examination and insist on early screening. A total of 200 people are awaited to take part in this walk. Activities will include: Walk, distribution of flyers, workouts, educative talks and free breast cancer screening.

We hope that through this walk we will touch over 2500 people and insist on routine checks.
