Wants to Join World Pulse

Hi! I'm Maria Ligaya and I am from Philippines. I am now at my 29th years of existence on earth. We are seven in the family. My mom is a plain housewife and my father is a retired mechanic worker. Both of them are senior citizens now. I have three (3) older brothers and a younger sister.

Among the siblings, I am the only one that graduated in college because I was able to got scholarship opportunity. I took the Bachelor of Science in Community Development, a four years course. But I spend my years in the university for five because I stopped in my first year first semester due to financial problems. I spend my more than six months at home. Thanks for my childhood friend who discover the scholarship opportunity and shared it to me. I've return to college.

Now, I am currently working in a child rights organization focus on adolescent girls on the street  for three years already. It is my third NGO work. My two (2) previous job circulated in serving the indigenous community.

A former colleague as well as classmates in Community Development course shared to me about World Pulse and how this digital communities help her.

Because of this, I want also to share in the whole world my life stories; as a child, a friend, a development worker and as a Filipino. I want to contribute something in the society.

I want to participate in World Pulse by writing a story that will somehow help in changing the world.
