Woman living with HIV takes initiative to support her family

A woman in our community has defied the practice by some people living with HIV of going around begging for assistance.
While a lot of women look up to the government and non-governmental organisations for support, this woman decided to establish and fruit and vegetable market in the community and is earning enough money to support her family.
Whenever I pass by the bus stop, l look at her, doing her business, her source of income to be precise, l see a very hard working woman who is positive regardless of her HIV status. She is determined to live a healthy life.
Before her husband died of HIV/AIDS five years ago the couple used to sell fruits, vegetables and sweets at the bus stop. People thought the death of her husband would affect her. But she has remained determined to continue with the business.
