words are never enough

now i know why words are powerful. as i was writing the week 1 assignment i suddenly reflected on the change that i want to become and how much i have come to rely on web 2.0 to share across geographical demarcations. the 500 words were so few for all the things that web 2.0 has changed in my life. but if my child asked me what i have done to change my situation(note:im always complaining about gender inequality, poverty, unemployment, education, HIV and AIDS) i would say i have spoken about it. it means power to me to recognise a problem speak about it and look for solutions to its end. a lot of my friends have accepted situations which are unfair because they do not want to be quoted or do not want to offend theri husbands. there are many issues that would have been resolved had people talked. why is infidelity accepted by women as normal for husbands to cheaat whilst it is unacceptable for a woman to the same. if infidelity hurts men it also hurts women. thank you web 2.0 my voice is ready to speak abotu issues that matter to me loud and clear and fearlessly. if someone can speak whilst holed down underground hiding from rockets then i can speak even louder as im definitely on top of the ground.
lets stand together and lets speak. i dont want to be known as the woman who knew what was happening but did nothing. i need to be known as she who stood fearless and used the resource she had to speak and spoke and eventually was heard.
