STARVATION CULT MASSACRE IN CHURCH

I have been raised in a Christianity religious background and in this setting, I have been stolen from, lied to, I’ve also watched lust destroy trusted leaders, fear make friends run from their duty, and ambitions turn gentle shepherds into plotting wolves willing to sacrifice organizations, friends and their own families for personal promotions.

(Romans 16:17-18) Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the division and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them, for those who are such don’t serve our lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent.

The Good News International Ministries (GNIM) or Good News International Church, commonly referred to as the Shakahola cult based in Shakahola, Kilifi County, Kenya attracted international attention in April 2023 when it was revealed that Pastor Mackenzie had allegedly instructed members to starve themselves to “meet Jesus” which resulted to deaths of many people. The group widely described as a cult is adamantly anti-western, with amenities such as health care, education, and sports being dismissed as “evil of western life.” The group also devotes much of its teaching to the end times. They are purportedly followers of the End time message of William Branham. The group has been described as a doom say cult. In the book of (1 John 4:5) the bible says that they are from the world and therefore speak from viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.

One of the resident of Shakahola said pastor Mackenzie showed up in the village disguised as a saint and started helping people before followers started fasting, resulting in deaths, after camping there, he started giving relief food to the residents and that is how he earned the trust of the locals. They thought he was a good man and everyone embraced him. The residents forgot that not all that glitters is gold.

Mackenzie founded the GNIM in 2003 and accumulated a sizable following, largely due to convincing his followers that he could speak directly with God. Mackenzie and his wife faced several charges relating to the church. He was chastised for inciting students to abandon their education after denouncing it as “ungodly.” He knew very well that truly people perish due to lack of knowledge. In the book of (Matthew 24:24) says that for the false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

An air hostess is said to have quite her 11-year career and relocated to Shakahola, to join pastor Paul Mackenzie’s church. It is also alleged that the woman sold her land for ksh.7million and took the money to pastor Mackenzie as tithe and offerings. Her sister too quit her military job and left to “see Jesus.” A member of the group is said to have sold his property on the island of Lamu to Mackenzie for ksh.20million and then gave the money to Makenzie. Jesus clearly tells his disciples (Matthew 10: 8-9) – Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belt.

Pastor Mackenzie used to deliver his sermons to large congregation in thrall of his apocalyptic themes. “We are about to win the battle…let no one turn back…the journey is about to be accomplished,” reads a banner across the screen. Another theme of pastor Mackenzie’s sermons had been the idea that formal education is satanic and used to extort money.

Pastor Mackenzie had also encouraged mothers to avoid seeking medical attention during child birth and not to vaccinate their children. The pastor then echoes that vaccines are not necessary, claiming that “doctors serve a different GOD.” He also discouraged women from plaiting their hair, wearing wigs and wearing ornaments.

Much of pastor Mackenzie’s preaching related to the fulfilment of Biblical prophecies about judgement day. He repeatedly references “New world Order “a conspiracy theory about a plot by global elites to bring about an authotarian world government, replacing nation states falsely claiming catholic church, the UN and the US behind it. He is also highly skeptical of modern technology, previously claiming a plan by the Kenyan government to establish a unique identity number for citizens to access government services was the mark of the beast.

Further Mackenzie was allegedly using films to incite Christians against Hindus, Buddhist and Islams. Mackenzie didn’t join his followers in the mass starvation, in fact, a dietary menu was found on the wall in one of the special houses in the forest believed to be his resting room.

I PUT A RED FLAG TO THIS FALSE CHRISTIANITY! I urge those who follow this category of false teachers/ pastors or prophets to repent and confess with their mouths that Jesus is the Lord and that God raised him from the dead. And don't forget to renounce the false holy spirit you received from the false prophets. Including you who were touching your idol god screen of television to receive the healing. (Hebrew 6:6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.)

In the book of (Ephesians 6:12) the bible says that; For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
