We painted the city of Yaounde pink on Saturday 28th October 2023. More than 100 women came out all dressed in pink T-shirts to raise awareness about breast cancer. United against cancer, the women set out to share flyers to passers-by and curious onlookers. The founder of Dr Tumasang Swiri Foundation and cordinator of this walk entered the market, shouting "Early detection saves lives", while shar8flyers on breast self examination to the market women. Walking about 5km, the women sang, danced and brandished their various messages in front of the media that came to cover the event.

The day ended with educative talks and free screening of over 100 women.

Taking the rendez-vous for 2024, talking to the media, I reminded women of the importance of routine checks and also trying to prevent the risk factors related to Breast cancer. If diagnosed at an early stage, it is 100 percent treated. Breast self examination can be practiced by all or make it a habit of meeting a health personnel every year for screening.
